This course provides hands on training in traditional and devotional punjabi and sikh musical instruments. Students will learn below given list.
- introduction to instruments such as Harmonium, tabla etc.
- Basic to advance playing techniques
- tuning and maintenance of instruments
- Rhythmic Patterns (Taal) and ,melodic structures (Raag)
- Accompaniment for Shabad Kirtan and Simran
- Understanding the spiritual essence of music in Sikh tradition
- Performance practice and group coordination
With guided instructions, regular practice and individual feedback, students will gain confidence and skill in playing sacred instruments as a form of devotion and expression.
